Lieutenant Firas Eid, a member of the Internal Security Forces, accomplished a global achievement by defeating his rival, the German champion Mario Kornhas, in the 72.5 kg category in the World Professional Kickboxing Championship. The competition was held in Munich, Germany, in the presence of 6,000 people.
It should be noted that the German champion has a significant professional record with 63 fights, the title of the European Professional Championship and the title of World Amateur Champion for several years.
If Kornhass had won the fight, he would have presented the title to the spirit of his father. In a special gesture, Eid dedicated his win to the spirit of the German champion's father.
