Kickboxing: Lebanon’s Firas Eid Wins in Munich
Lieutenant Firas Eid, a member of the Internal Security Forces, accomplished a global achievement by defeating his rival, the German champion Mario Kornhas, in the 72.5 kg category in the World Professional Kickboxing Championship. The competition was held in Munich, Germany, in the presence of 6,000 people.

It should be noted that the German champion has a significant professional record with 63 fights, the title of the European Professional Championship and the title of World Amateur Champion for several years.

If Kornhass had won the fight, he would have presented the title to the spirit of his father. In a special gesture, Eid dedicated his win to the spirit of the German champion's father. This gesture was met with great approval and appreciation from his opponent, the audience and the organizers. Eid's training was supervised by his Lebanese-German coach Bachir Maroun, who accompanied him during the match.
