Table Tennis: Al-Nadwa Koumatieh, Champions of Lebanon

The women's team of Al-Nadwa Koumatieh has won the Lebanese Table Tennis Championship for women's teams.

In the final, Malak Khoury won her match against Talia Azar 3-0, and Marianna Sahakian defeated Laeticia Azar 3-0. In the doubles match, Sahakian and Khoury defeated the Azar sisters 3-1.

Al-Nadwa Koumatieh Club had previously won the semi-final against Homenetmen Beirut 3-0, while Antranik Beirut beat Ahli Saida 3-2 in a tough and exciting match.

In the match for third place, the team of Ahli Saida, composed of Mariam El Habsh, Yasmina El Habsh, and Mariam Beyrouthy, won against the team of Homenetmen Beirut, composed of Noelle Keshishian, Lori Yahinian, and Sevag Techakmian, with a score of 3-0. Homenetmen Beirut finished fourth.


The final stages of the women's tournament, held on the tables of the Al-Adab and Al-Riyada Club in Kafrshima, included eight teams, in addition to the top four: Dar Al-Nour Charity, Al-Riyadi Beirut, Ahli Al-Khiyam, and Al-Liwaa Saida.

Finally, George Kopali, the president of the federation, and Pierre Hani, the general secretary, presented the cup and medals to the winning teams.

The matches were refereed by international referees Sarah Jaber, May Merchid Radwan, Dr. Kamil Merheb, and Mustafa Al-Dakdouki, as well as federation referees Joseph Merheb, and Elie Sleiman.

The  championship was supervised by chief referee Rabih al Mall and the president of the federation's technical committee, Fadi Kassis, along with committee members Rabi Haidar and Elie Rahbani.
