The Traffic and Vehicle Management Authority (Mécanique) announced on Monday that the Jounieh vehicle registration center will resume its services starting Tuesday, April 23, a year and a half after suspending its services.
Offices will only be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, with few services provided, notably: transferring vehicle ownership, registration of previously checked cars, excluding a vehicle from circulation, returning a vehicle to circulation, lifting mortgage, renewing expired driving licenses and lifting seizure.
The Jounieh branch had been out of service for more than a year and a half, and all the offices of the Traffic and Vehicle Management Authority remained closed for eleven months, before reopening on September 11, following the arrest of officials suspected of corruption.
