Two Deadly Israeli Raids in Bekaa
Two people were killed and a third wounded in an Israeli raid in the Bekaa region, on Tuesday afternoon.

Clashes between Israel and Hezbollah, which had been declining in violence in recent days, intensified again on Monday evening and during the day on Tuesday.

Twice in less than three hours, Israeli aircraft attacked Bekaa, targeting Hermel for the first time since October 8, 2023.

The first raid, shortly after 3 PM, targeted a van on the Ras Baalbeck plain. At around 6 PM, another raid targeted a home on the plain Sahl Allak in the Baalbeck region, killing two people, Ali Ratib el-Jawhari et Ali Fawzi el-Akhras, and wounding one.

At the same time, Hezbollah announced that it had fired more than 50 Katyusha rockets at the Yardin barracks in the Golan Heights, before issuing a number of communiqués announcing a series of military operations during the day.

It said that it had targeted two buildings in Avivim "used by Israeli soldiers," as well as a group of soldiers near the Branit barracks and the Meron base. The Israeli army retaliated by carrying out strikes in Bekaa, according to Israeli media.

The pro-Iranian group also announced that it had bombed an Israeli infantry unit in the Hanita forest, as well as a building used by the Israeli army in Shomera and Shlomi, and Israeli sites in Kfarchouba and Roueissat el-Alam.

In addition to the raids on Bekaa, the Israeli army bombed the south of the country almost non-stop on Tuesday. Israeli bombardments targeted Kfarchouba and the surrounding area, Wadi Hanin, Qouseir and Kantara.

Air raids on Kfar Kila, Hula and Beit Yahoun targeted homes.

Israeli shellings damaged beekeepers' hives and water tanks on the al-Mari plain in the Hasbaya caza.

The Israeli air force also carried out two airstrikes with two missiles against Maroun al-Ras. This was followed by artillery fire and phosphorus bombs. During the second raid, a house in the village was targeted.

Israeli media reported the mobilization of the Israeli air force in the norther part of the country following the launch of dozens of missiles from southern Lebanon.

The Islamic Jihad announced the death of one of its members in southern Lebanon.
