- Violence Soars on Southern Front
Attacks on the southern front intensified on Thursday as the Israeli army targeted civilian homes.
Israeli airstrikes struck Mays al-Jabal, targeting a house in its eastern neighborhood first, followed by another in Ras al-Dahr. The towns of Tayr Harfa, Aita al-Shaab and Yaroun were also subjected to attacks.
Warplanes also bombed the town of Odaisseh, hitting an Express Coffee shop and a house.
The Israeli army shelled the outskirts of the town of Aitaroun, the area between Hamames and Marjayoun, Wata al-Khiam, Kfar Kila, Odaisseh and the outskirts of Yaroun.
The Israeli army spokesperson announced that they targeted a Hezbollah military building in the town of Dhayra.
Hezbollah announced they targeted a military intelligence force in Metula, resulting in casualties, and also shelled a Malkiya position, scoring a direct hit.
Sirens were also activated in and around Kiryat Shmona and Avivim in the Upper Galilee.
Earlier in the morning, Israeli warplanes broke the sound barrier in the airspace of Nabatieh and Iqlim al-Tuffah at a low altitude.
The preceding night also witnessed similar violence, with Israeli reconnaissance aircraft flying over villages in the western and central sectors up to the Litani River until morning, accompanied by continued firing of flares over border villages adjacent to the Blue Line.
Israeli warplanes attacked Aita al-Shaab and Marwahin, causing significant damage to property and crops.
The Israeli army additionally raided Dhayra, targeting an unoccupied house, which resulted in its destruction and damage to the electricity network. Civil defense teams transported several civilians from Dhayra to hospitals in Tyre, as they suffered from shortness of breath and suffocation following an airstrike targeting the town.
