South Lebanon: Five Dead and Over Nine Injured in Nighttime Raid
Five people were killed and more than nine injured in a raid on Saturday night carried out by the Israeli army on a house in Khirbet Selm, in southern Lebanon, as artillery exchanges between Israel and Hezbollah intensified in the evening.

Earlier today, two other people were injured in a raid on Dhayra, with Israel conducting several raids on houses in Aita el-Shaab, Blida, Kafra, Mays el-Jabal, and Majdelzoun. In the latter locality, the house belonging to the Derr family was completely destroyed.

On Saturday as well, the Israeli army targeted a joint patrol composed of soldiers from the Lebanese army and UNIFIL as they were conducting a tour near Tallet el-Raheb, near Aita el-Shaab.

"A Lebanese army vehicle was hit, but fortunately, no casualties were reported," said UNIFIL spokesperson Andrea Tenenti.

Furthermore, six Israeli interceptor missiles exploded over the central sector.

In this context of hostilities, the spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichay Adraee, stated that the Israeli air force targeted Hezbollah infrastructure in Labbouneh and a military building in Aita al-Shaab on Friday night. On his X account, he also stated that "a rocket was launched from southern Lebanon into an open area in Yiftah.”

"The Israeli army bombed the source of the fire," Adraee added.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah claimed attacks on the Israeli Army positions of Al-Baghdadi, Zebdine, and Roueisset el-Qarn in the Shebaa Farms. It also targeted gatherings of Israeli soldiers near the Hounine citadel, as well as in Jabal Nather and Karantina Hill. In the late afternoon, the pro-Iranian group announced that it had intercepted an Israeli drone.

Israeli media reported that a missile fired from Lebanon fell in the Margaliot area, while rocket salvos were directed from southern Lebanon towards the Upper Galilee. Alarm sirens sounded in several settlements in northern Israel.

Overnight from Friday to Saturday, Israel bombed Jabal el-Labbouneh, causing violent fires in its forest, one of the largest in southern Lebanon. Since the start of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon on October 8, the Israeli state has systematically bombed the area. According to estimates, over two-thirds of its forest has been ravaged by flames.

From the early hours of the day, Israeli reconnaissance aircraft flew over Hasbaya, the Shebaa Farms, Mount Hermon and several other border villages in the western and central sectors.
