The French Society of the Legion of Honor offered financial support to the Lebanese Red Cross (LRC) in recognition of its contributions to the humanitarian, health and relief fields.
The French donation was presented to the LRC officials by members of sister association the Lebanese Legion of Honor on Thursday, at a ceremony held at the Red Cross headquarters on Rue Spears, Beirut. Present were LRC President Antoine Zoghbi and the President of the Lebanese Legion of Honor, Khalil Karam.
Praising the humanitarian activities carried out by the president, members, volunteers and ambulance drivers of the LRC, Karam expressed hope that “the financial aid will help strengthen the capacities and services of the Lebanese Red Cross.”
