The Ministry of Telecommunications has denied reports of an increase in postal rates.
In a statement, it asserted that it has not decided to increase postal rates and that any changes in this context are subject to approval by the Council of Ministers and the State Council.
The Ministry pointed out that as soon as the 2024 budget was published in the Official Gazette, prices increased for ministry-linked services, such as obtaining a birth, death or criminal record certificate. If there is a change in postal operator service prices, these changes are only related to non-postal services.
