Mixed Results for Lebanon at the Arab Rugby 7s Championship
The Lebanese national team bade farewell to the Arab Rugby 7s Championship after suffering two defeats against the Egyptian and Emirati teams with scores of 34-5 and 30-0 in the second group. The only victory came against their Libyan counterpart with a score of 32-0 in the same group.

These results do not reflect the fighting spirit with which the team played, despite the difference in physical capacity and international experience between the Lebanese team and the rest of the teams. However, the determination and relentlessness of the Cedar women were clear against the Libyan team, where the players were determined to win and emerge from the tournament in an honorable position. The positioning matches will be played tomorrow between Libya, fourth in the second group, and the host team, Saudi Arabia, as well as Jordan, from the first group.

The first semi-final will see the Tunisian team, with a perfect score of three wins against the Egyptian team, while the second semi-final will pit the Emirati team, leader of the second group, against the Syrian team, second in the first group.

Good luck to the Lebanese team for the upcoming competitions, in the hope that the sports sector in general and women's sport in particular will receive greater attention in future engagements, as they deserve to be recognized and respected.
