Southern Lebanon: Conflict Unabated, More Amal and Hezbollah Fighters Killed
The Lebanese southern border witnessed yet another day of violence on Friday.

Israel bombarded the towns of Majdel Zoun, Labbouneh, Hamoul, Aita al-Shaab, Rachaya al-Foukhar, Kfar Hamam, and Hebbariyeh, as well as residential areas in Kfar Kila and the region between Yater and Bayt Lif.

A missile fired by an Israeli fighter plane fell without exploding in the vicinity of Ahl al-Beit in Bint Jbeil.

On Friday, Hezbollah announced the deaths of three of its fighters.

Furthermore, rockets were launched from Lebanon on Upper Galilee, prompting the municipality of Kiryat Shmona to urge its residents to take shelter.

Hezbollah also claimed responsibility for attacks on the sites of Malkiya, opposite the Lebanese locality of Aitaroun (Bint Jbeil), Roueissat al-Alam, Ramya, and Zebdine (in the Shebaa farms), as well as targeting a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the Doviv barracks.

As a reminder, three Amal fighters were killed overnight Thursday in an Israeli raid on a house in Qantara.

Reaction to Hassan Nasrallah’s Speech

The Israeli Army’s Arabic-speaking spokesman, Avichay Adraee, said that the Secretary-General of Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah's "threatening speech is an attempt to drag Lebanon into an unprecedented crisis.”

With these words, Adraee took on Nasrallah’s speech on Friday, accusing the Shiite leader of “carrying out Iranian orders to involve Lebanon in a war that does not concern it, in support of Hamas.”

“Lebanon is facing a major crisis to serve Iran’s interests because of Nasrallah,” he said, adding that “Hezbollah is endangering Lebanon because of organizations acting by proxy, operating from Lebanese civilian positions.”
