Israeli Shelling in Nabatieh, At Least Four Killed

An Israeli airstrike with two missiles targeted a site in the al-Maslakh neighborhood of the town of Nabatieh. An Israeli drone targeted a three-story building in a populated area of Nabatieh, near the al-Maslakh district, adjacent to al-Sabbah Secondary School complex and across from the "Palestine" gas station. According to a preliminary assessment, at least four deaths were reported and more than eight people injured. The targeted building is reportedly at risk of collapsing at any moment, with calls for immediate evacuation.

The intense Israeli aerial bombardment prompted evacuations towards Saida and Beirut.

Considering the deteriorating security situation and to ensure the safety of students, faculty and staff, the President of the Lebanese University announced the closure of the university branches in Nabatieh on Thursday, February 15. Furthermore, public schools in the Nabatieh area also announced closure on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Israeli military warplanes were observed circling over Zahrani, Sarafand, Baysariya, Kawthariya and also reaching Nabatieh.
