IAA Celebrates Lebanon's Advertising Legends
The International Advertising Association (IAA) Lebanon Chapter's Hall of Fame induction ceremony emerged as a landmark event, commemorating the exceptional contributions of 17 luminaries from the Lebanese advertising realm. The event was hosted at the Casino du Liban.

The IAA gala celebrated the innovation, creativity, and unwavering commitment of these distinguished individuals who have profoundly influenced the advertising domain in Lebanon and across the Middle East.

The ambiance was imbued with a sense of accomplishment and inspiration as recipients or their familial representatives were accorded well-merited accolades for their pivotal roles in shaping the industry.

This ceremonious occasion not only spotlighted the extraordinary accomplishments of these advertising titans but also bore witness to the dynamic and resilient spirit encapsulating the Lebanese advertising community. Heartfelt testimonials from relatives and close associates lent an emotive and poignant dimension to the event. The evening was further animated by performances from singers and dancers who presented medleys of iconic advertising jingles from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, contributing to a vibrant and celebratory atmosphere.

The esteemed inductees of this inaugural session span various facets of the advertising sector, including agencies, media representatives, media outlets, and advertisers. In his opening address, Naji Boulos, President of the IAA Lebanon, lauded the inductees as heroes who have not only established their legacies amid the adversities of war but also ventured into the Gulf to pioneer the sector at a time when the region witnessed scant major development, thereby significantly bolstering its economic surge.

"These luminaries have indelibly marked our lives, steering the trajectory of Lebanese and Arab brands, merchants, and industrialists. This evening, we herald creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, and the Lebanese genius," he articulated.

The 17 honorees, listed alphabetically, are: Mustapha Assad, Walid Azzi (1939-2018), Jean-Claude Boulos (1934-2012), Farid Chehab, Antoine Choueiri (1940-2010), Samir Fares (1934-1988), Bernard Fattal (1945-2009), Erwin Guerrovich (1936-2001), Alain Khouri, Akram Miknas, Edmond Moutran (1944-2021), Ramsay G.
