The Egyptian ambassador to Lebanon, Alaa Moussa, underscored the Group of Five’s dedication to aiding Lebanon in addressing its presidential vacancy.
Moussa made this statement on Friday during a visit to Samir Geagea, the leader of the Lebanese Forces Party, in Meerab.
This visit is part of the Group of Five’s initiative to engage in bilateral meetings with local political figures, aiming to exchange perspectives and facilitate progress on the presidential election issue in Lebanon.
Moussa characterized the meeting as “positive and very important,” noting a convergence of views with Geagea, who is also “actively working towards achieving the deadline at the earliest opportunity.”
The Egyptian diplomat announced his intention to conduct similar meetings with other Lebanese political parties, expressing hope for positive developments for the country.
