Israeli Warplanes and Artillery Shelling Invade the Southern Skies
The Israeli army targeted with artillery shells on Friday morning the outskirts of the Hamames hill in Sirda, while a smoke shell fell between houses in the town of Khiam. Artillery shelling also targeted the outskirts of northern Tayr Harfa and the outskirts of Wadi Hassan and Majdal Zoun. Warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes targeting the outskirts of the towns of Marwahin, Zebqine and Jabal Blat in the western sector.

On Friday afternoon, Israeli warplanes launched aerial attacks on the outskirts of the towns of Aita al-Shaab and Aitaroun in the Bint Jbeil district, causing multiple rocket explosions whose echoes reached the Bint Jbeil region. This coincided with artillery shelling hitting residential neighborhoods in Aitaroun.

In retaliation, Hezbollah claimed one attack by targeting the Ruwaisat al-Alam site in the hills of Kfarchouba and the Shebaa Farms “with rocket weapons, achieving a direct hit.”

Israeli reconnaissance aircraft continued flying over villages in the western and central sectors, reaching the Litani River overnight, and this was accompanied by the launching of flare bombs at night over bordering villages near the Blue Line.

The Israeli army targeted, after midnight, the Aoueida Hill with a large number of heavy artillery shells and raided the triangle of the towns of Tayr Harfa, Chihine and al-Jabin, targeting a mini-market that had been subjected to shelling more than once. Moreover, the Dhayra town was targeted three times in a row, causing serious damage to properties.
