- South Lebanon: One Injured in Wazzani
Israeli shelling continued on the Lebanese southern front for the 117th day. On Thursday, the Lebanese Red Cross transferred a wounded individual from the town of Wazzani to the governmental hospital in Marjayoun due to Israeli gunfire.
The Israeli army targeted, in the morning, from its positions near Mount Labbouneh, the towns of Jebbine, Tayr Harfa, Rachaya al-Foukhar, Wadi Hassan, Yarine and Oum al-Tout on Thursday, as well as the Labbouneh and Alam mountains. It also attacked the town of Dhayra al-Fawqa with phosphorus shells.
Hezbollah retaliated by targeting "spy equipment at the radar site in the Shebaa Farms with appropriate weapons, directly hitting it,” as well as Israeli positions in Ramta and Samaka, also in the Shebaa Farms.
The Israeli army had launched several heavy artillery shells Wednesday night on the outskirts of the towns of Naqoura, Mount Labbouneh, Alma al-Shaab, Tayr Harfa, Dhayra, Aita al-Shaab, Bayt Lif and Rmeish, causing severe damage to crops, olive trees and pine trees and affecting the water network. Flare bombs were also launched into the skies of the western and central sectors, reaching the outskirts of the city of Tyre.
An evening airstrike on the town of Bayt Lif resulted in the destruction of a house and the killing of a 33-year-old Hezbollah member, Mohammad Nayef Hamoud.
The issue of displacement towards safe areas in Lebanon, especially in the Tyre region, continues to weigh heavily on the Tyre Union of Municipalities and the municipalities in the Tyre district. In contrast, other Lebanese districts have yet to approve reception centers for the displaced, except for one center in the Gazieh area.
It's worth mentioning that the fire that broke out at night in one of the apartments in the industrial city of Tyre was not the result of Israeli shelling but a local fire caused by an electrical malfunction. Civil Defense firefighting teams worked to extinguish it and rescued four trapped individuals.
