Chamoun: Properties Are Being Registered in Secret in Mount Lebanon
Head of the National Liberal Party Camille Chamoun visited on Monday the caretaker Minister of Interior Bassam Mawlawi, with whom he discussed the ongoing closure of real estate offices in Mount Lebanon.

He expressed concern that despite this closure, "properties are being registered in secret," considering this a "demographic threat with the possible involvement of foreigners in these areas."

Chamoun emphasized the need to introduce electronic automation in these offices as a pilot project to prevent fraud and forgery.

Regarding the issue of waste management, he proposed the adoption of advanced processing machines, which would ensure an effective environmental solution to end sea dumping.

In response to a question about the defamation campaign against Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai, Chamoun told journalists that this matter concerns all those interested in preserving national cohesion. He warned that those conducting these campaigns are "attempting to undermine the idea of coexistence in Lebanon and have divisive motives."
