A high-profile Israeli delegation arrived in Paris on Sunday for key negotiations on the release of abductees by Hamas on October 7, joining other international figures including Qatar, Egypt, and the US.

The Israeli delegation, led by Mossad chief David Barnea and Shin Bet head Ronan Bar,  will held talks in Paris on Sunday evening with the US, Qatar, and Egypt representatives to discuss a potential hostage deal with Hamas, as reported by The Times of Israel.

According to two senior administration officials, US negotiators are making progress on a potential agreement wherein Israel would temporarily halt military operations against Hamas in Gaza for two months in exchange for the release of over 100 hostages.

However, Israeli officials, as cited by Channel 12, have downplayed expectations, stating that Hamas remains steadfast in demanding Israel's complete cessation of the war while allowing Hamas to retain control over Gaza.
