- Southern Front: Israel Alleged 'Infiltration' Into Lebanese Territories
In the latest field development in the cross-border conflict between Hezbollah and Israel, the Israeli army announced on Tuesday morning that its "special forces infiltrated into southern Lebanon and cleared mines in the village of Aita al-Shaab."
Moreover, the Israeli army dropped leaflets in the skies of Kfar Kila, urging the residents of the town to prevent Hezbollah from launching rockets from there for their safety.
“To the residents of southern Lebanon. Missiles are being launched from this area by the terrorist Hezbollah. Such terrorist acts will lead to a harsh response! For your safety do not become accomplices to terrorist activities in the vicinity of your homes!”
The Israeli army targeted on Tuesday morning the outskirts of the towns of Moutran hill in Hamames, Hula, Wadi al-Bayad and Mays al-Jabal.
Additionally, the town of Kfar Kila was targeted by Israeli Merkava tank shelling with phosphorus shells.
On the other hand, media outlets reported the launch of a rocket from southern Lebanon towards an Israeli site in the settlement of Metula in the Upper Galilee. Meanwhile, early this morning, alarm sirens sounded in 8 towns in the Upper Galilee due to suspicions of an intrusion by a drone from Lebanon.
Israeli reconnaissance aircraft circled over the western and central sectors overnight, launching illuminating bombs over the border villages adjacent to the Blue Line.
Explosions were heard in villages in the Bint Jbeil district on Wednesday night, resulting from interception missiles launched by the israelis to counter resistance missiles in the sky of the mentioned region.
