- Israel Shoots Down Four Infiltrators from Lebanon
Sunday was marked by continuous Israeli artillery bombardment targeting several localities in southern Lebanon. The targeted regions include al-Quzah, Bayt Lif, the outskirts of Dhayra, Yarine, Jebbine, Tayr Harfa, southern Marwahin, Mays al-Jabal, and its southern neighborhood, Darb al-Souq, as well as al-Tarash to the southwest of the locality and the outskirts of Rab El Thalathine.
The Israeli Army also targeted Kfar Kila, Odaisseh, and Rab El Thalathine with phosphorus shells.
An airstrike also targeted al-Kasar, east of Mays al-Jabal (the site of yesterday’s raid). Raids on the outskirts of Alma also coincided with the presence of a spy balloon over the area and took place nearby.
A house that had already been targeted several times in Marwahin, close to the headquarters of the Ghanaian battalion, was also attacked. Another house, that of A. Hachem, in Rab El Thalathine, was shelled on three occasions, with no casualties reported.
In the afternoon, the Israeli Army reported that “military aircraft bombed Hezbollah sites and infrastructure in southern Lebanon,” and two missile strikes were carried out against Aitaroun and Mays al-Jabal.
The Labbouneh and Jabal Blat areas were also targeted by two air raids. This information was confirmed by the al-Manar TV channel, which reported that “enemy fighter jets carried out two missile strikes targeting the Labbouneh area, south of Naqoura.”
For its part, the Israel Broadcasting Corporation reported that “five soldiers were wounded” at dawn today (Sunday) during clashes in the Shebaa Farms. The al-Qassam Brigades in Lebanon, for their part, announced that “the Shebaa Farms operation was a response to the assassination of martyr Saleh al-Arouri and a message to the (Israeli) occupation to stop its aggression against Gaza.”
As for the Israeli Army, it announced in a statement on Sunday that its soldiers had killed four armed men who had infiltrated Israel from Lebanon on Saturday evening. “One of our patrols in the Jabal Rus area spotted armed men after their infiltration from Lebanon and exchanged fire with them, killing the four of them,” the Israeli Army said in a post published on Telegram.
In parallel, Israeli Army spokesman Avichay Adrae wrote on his X account, “An IDF force monitored and killed four terrorists last night (Saturday) in the Mount Ross (Har Dov) area.”
On the other hand, Israeli military radio reported on Sunday that “rockets were observed from southern Lebanon and landed in open areas before noon today.”
Still, on the ground, Hezbollah announced that it had targeted “with missiles” several gatherings of Israeli soldiers, one near the Hadab Yaron and al-Marj sites, as well as the Birkat Risha site, obtaining “direct hits.”
Earlier, the pro-Iranian party had announced that it had targeted an Israeli Army military force in the settlement of Kfar Yuval “with appropriate weapons,” resulting in several casualties, including one dead and one wounded.
Around midday on Sunday, Hezbollah also announced that “snipers targeted the new spy equipment near the Metula site and hit it directly.” At ten o’clock this morning, it also targeted Israeli Army artillery positions in Khirbet Maar with missiles.
