- Red Sea: Renewed US Military Strikes Against the Houthis

The US military conducted a third strike on Saturday evening, against Houthi sites in Yemen, the second in less than 24 hours. This action was in response to threats issued by the Iran-backed group against international maritime traffic in the Red Sea the day before.
In the early evening, a military source allied with the Houthi rebels and a police source announced that a new strike had targeted the port city of Hodeida. This came in retaliation for a missile launch carried out by the Houthis.
This strike has not been claimed immediately.
An AFP correspondent in Hodeida heard the sound of a missile followed by a powerful explosion, and an hour and a half later, another distant explosion was heard.
President Joe Biden, whose country is allied with Israel, had warned the rebels of striking their positions if they did not cease their attacks in the Red Sea.
