Saydet al-Jabal Stigmatizes Return of Palestinian Armed Presence
The Saydet al-Jabal Gathering strongly criticized the armed Palestinian presence at the funeral of Hamas number two Saleh al-Arouri, assassinated last Tuesday in the southern suburbs, condemning "the return to the days of the Palestinian armed presence, which caused deep conflict among the Lebanese as early as 1969."

In a statement issued at the end of its weekly meeting, the group accused Hezbollah of having "alienated Lebanese sovereignty by making itself the instrument of the Iranian occupation, which makes it responsible for the return of the Palestinian political, military and security presence."

In this context, it reiterated its appeal to "political and security authorities to prevent Hezbollah from dragging Lebanon back into wars and confrontations that the Lebanese have endeavored to forget."

Commenting on the cyber-attack on Beirut airport on Sunday, Saydet al-Jabal said that it was "further proof of the danger to which Hezbollah is exposing Lebanon, especially as Hezbollah controls state services, including the international airport."
