Confrontations Continue on the Southern Front
The exchange of fire between Israel and Hezbollah continued on Thursday morning after a night of intense violence that saw 5 Hezbollah fighters killed in a house in Naqoura.

Late Thursday morning, Israeli media reported that Hezbollah had fired an anti-armor missile at the "Metula" position, hitting the inside of the building. This information was also confirmed by Hezbollah in an official statement.

"Today at 11:20 a.m., we targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers in Metula with appropriate weapons, and succeeded in scoring direct hits," read the statement.

Hezbollah also announced that it had targeted an Israeli military position in "Shtula" and "Al-Jarda point."

On the ground, the former Khiam prison camp was targeted by phosphorus shells.

The area of Al-Tarash, southwest of the town of Mays Al-Jabal, as well as the outskirts of Hula, Wadi Saluki and Bint Jbeil were bombed.

Israeli warplanes also carried out an air strike with two air-to-surface missiles, launched against the eastern side of the Maroun Al-Ras park, near the Lebanese army post.  An Israeli drone carried out a second raid on Maroun al-Ras, this time targeting the eastern end of the city's park.

Throughout the night and into the morning, reconnaissance aircraft flew over villages in the western and central sectors as far as the Litani River, while flares were dropped over border villages as far as Zabqin and al-Qulaila.

On Wednesday evening, the Israeli army intensified its attacks, targeting a three-story house in Naqoura and destroying it entirely. The attack resulted in the death of five Hezbollah fighters, a figure confirmed on Thursday morning, and inflicted severe damage to nearby houses, cars, and property. Nine civilians were also wounded and taken to hospitals in Tyre.

Shortly before this raid, military aircraft had attacked the outskirts of Naqoura, Jabal al-Labbouneh, and Jabal al-Alam, and some bombs fell near UNIFIL and military positions.
