Army Foils 700 Syrian Entry Attempts in Two Weeks
Over the past two weeks, the Lebanese army has intercepted around 700 Syrians attempting to enter Lebanese territory illegally.

On Wednesday, nine Syrians attempted to enter Lebanon illegally, by hiding in a gas tank. They were arrested, along with the driver, at the Chadra checkpoint in Akkar. Subsequently, relevant judicial authorities initiated an investigation.

As part of its fight against illegal immigration and smuggling, the Army Command remains vigilant in monitoring the entry of Syrians into Lebanon. The situation has become increasingly challenging amid the country's severe economic and political crisis.
