Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati has taken action on a series of legislative measures following parliamentary approval and Cabinet decisions. The General Directorate of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers disclosed that, out of the fourteen laws passed during the Parliament's session on the 14th and 15th of this month, eleven have been signed by Mikati.
Notably, three laws concerning amendments to educational institution regulations, financial assistance to the compensation fund for private school faculty, and modifications to non-residential lease laws have been withheld from publication:
Firstly, the law related to amending certain provisions of laws concerning the educational body in private schools and regulating the school budget.
Secondly, the law aimed at providing financial assistance to the Compensation Fund for members of the educational body in private schools.
Thirdly, the law related to amending the non-residential lease law.
This decision aims to facilitate the reconsideration of the decision associated with their issuance during the first Cabinet session to explore the available constitutional options.
