As the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) was facing a significant financial deficit of USD 4 million for the year 2023, and since it could not stand still against such a challenge, it organized a special telethon with CCCL’s advocate and supporter Marcel Ghanem as part of Sar El Waet on MTV.
Fortunately, the telethon encouraged USD 3.4 million to be pledged, as it was broadcast live and shared inspiring stories and touching experiences from patients and survivors, highlighting the impact and urgency of CCCL’s role and, most importantly, appealing to the generosity of our community to help CCCL fulfill their mission as Cancer Doesn’t Wait!
CCCL has been a beacon of hope for 21 years now, providing access to treatment for children with cancer from Lebanon and the region without discrimination.
For CCCL to continue saving lives and celebrating hope, let us come together as a community and show that when we unite for a common cause, we can overcome any challenge.
