Clashes Continue in South Lebanon
Cross-border clashes between Hezbollah and Israel continued on Thursday. An elderly woman was killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting residential areas in Maroun al-Ras in the morning, and her husband was injured and rushed to hospital.

In the afternoon, Khiam, Kfar Kila and the Rachaya al-Foukhar forest were subjected to a series of airstrikes, while bombings targeted Zeitoun and Karm al-Anqa on the southern outskirts of Mays al-Jabal, the peripheries of Rmeish, Hula, Mohaybib and Kfarchouba.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli army intensified its attacks on numerous localities, bombarding Aitaroun, the outskirts of Yaroun, Aita al-Shaab and Naqoura, triggering alarm sirens at the UNIFIL headquarters.

Israeli military planes also dropped three air-to-ground missiles on an empty house in Kfar Kila. The forests of Jabal al-Labbouneh and al-Alam were also targeted with incendiary bombs.

From the Lebanese side, two missiles were launched towards a military site near the Misgav Am colony, and alarm sirens sounded in several areas of the Upper Galilee. According to Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, "A car in Upper Galilee was targeted by an anti-tank missile fired from southern Lebanon."

Hezbollah claimed to have targeted the Israeli colonies of Doviv and Avivim on Thursday with "appropriate weapons, in response to Israeli attacks on civilian homes that cost the life of a woman and injured her husband." According to Israeli media, three to five people were injured in Avivim.

The pro-Iranian party also announced that its fighters launched attacks on Israeli positions near the Shebaa Farms. They also targeted the Jarda position.

Early in the evening, Hezbollah reported the death of one of its fighters.

The latest escalation of violence comes after a night marked by an intensification of Israeli airstrikes that reached deeper into Lebanese territory.
