This Is Beirut met with three families who fled the border regions of south Lebanon in the aftermath of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation initiated on October 7, seeking refuge in more secure areas.


These families decry a substantial surge in rents, rendering housing unattainable for a significant portion of the population.

Furthermore, several real estate experts have observed a downturn in the market, although it does not appear to be directly linked to the displaced individuals, who, for the most part, do not rely on the major real estate agencies.
