- Rai in a Solidarity Visit Thursday to the South
The head of the Maronite Church, Patriarch Bechara al-Rai will visit South Lebanon on Thursday as part of a solidarity tour with the displaced and the Southern citizens, the Catholic Information Center announced on Wednesday.
Rai will begin his tour with a visit to the Maronite archdiocese of Tyre, at 10 a.m., before moving on to the Greek-Catholic archdiocese. During his visit, he will meet with representatives of the region's Christian and Muslim communities.
He will be accompanied by a delegation from the Council of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops, and the Secretary General of the Catholic Information Center, Father Claude Nadra.
