On the third day following the end of the humanitarian truce in Gaza, a state of cautious calm and anticipation prevailed over the eastern sector of southern Lebanon.

Israel continued its attacks throughout last night until the early hours of the morning. Bright bombs filled the skies of the region, reaching the outskirts of the city of Tyre, while reconnaissance aircraft continued to fly over the villages adjacent to the Blue Line.

UNIFIL forces remained committed to their military positions during the hostile artillery shelling and sounded sirens more than once from their general headquarters in Naqoura.
