Russia claimed to have intercepted and shot down 113 Ukrainian drones overnight from Wednesday to Thursday in the border regions of Belgorod, Kursk, Voronezh, and Bryansk.

Russian air defense forces shot down 73 drones in the Belgorod region, 25 in Voronezh, 14 in Kursk, and one in Bryansk, according to a statement by the Russian Defense Ministry published on Telegram.

A woman was injured in the city of Stary Oskol in the Belgorod region, where one of these drones was downed, reported the region’s governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, on Telegram.

Gladkov stated that a total of four Russian civilians were killed and 24 injured in Ukrainian attacks over the past 24 hours in the Belgorod region.

Russia regularly announces the destruction of Ukrainian drones launched against its territory.

Kyiv says it carries out these strikes in response to Russian bombings that have plagued Ukraine for over two years.
