Chief of the Lebanese Kataeb Party and MP Sami Gemayel emphasized the need for immediate action to halt the ongoing conflict “through all available diplomatic means.” He made this statement during a meeting with a delegation from the Democratic Gathering bloc on Monday.

Gemayel further stressed the urgency to fully implement international resolutions, particularly Resolution 1701, urging Parliament to convene immediately to address the “aggression, displacement, and exodus occurring on Lebanese soil.”

MP Raji Saad, speaking after the meeting, reaffirmed the need for national unity, stating, “The main agreement was on the necessity of having national unity that brings together the people of the country for the benefit of Lebanon.” Both parties agreed to continue communication to monitor the evolving situation.
