Lebanese tennis player Benjamin Hassan scored a resounding victory over American Chris Eubanks, winning 6-4, 6-2 on Sunday in the first round of the Paris Olympics men’s singles on Court 11.

Absolute dominance

From the start of the match, Benjamin Hassan imposed his game with undeniable authority. With impeccable service and precise forehands, he quickly gained the upper hand, winning 59 points to his opponent’s 42. Chris Eubanks, visibly nervous in the face of the Lebanese player’s powerful strokes, never managed to get into the match.

Hassan exploited every weakness in his opponent’s game, dictating the pace with short rallies and effective net approaches. His agility on the court and ability to vary his shots completely unsettled Eubanks, who had no answer to Hassan’s diverse attacks.

In addition to his technical skills, Hassan demonstrated remarkable physical endurance, giving his opponent no respite. On several occasions, he saved break points with composure, turning the pressure into opportunities to widen the gap.

Hassan’s concentration and determination were palpable, and his aggressive, intelligent play won over the crowd present on Court 11.

A morale boost

This significant victory for Hassan comes at the perfect time before his doubles match with compatriot Hady Habib, scheduled for 7:30 PM tonight.
