The exchange of fire between Hezbollah and Israel resumed on Monday morning when an airstrike targeted a house on the western outskirts of Mays al-Jabal in the Ras al-Zahr neighborhood. In the early afternoon, drones were flying over the city of Tyre.
Additionally, it was reported that sirens sounded in the Upper Galilee due to a drone operated by Hezbollah, and the Israeli media reported that a number of rockets were fired from southern Lebanon towards the Yiftah area in the Upper Galilee.
Moreover, Hezbollah announced the death of two of its fighters, Hussein Ali Arslan and Mohammad Ibrahim al-Zein.
On Sunday, the Israeli army stepped up its strikes throughout the day, extending them to the western Bekaa region for the first time since Hezbollah opened the southern front on October 8.
Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee claimed on his X account that “last night (Sunday), Israeli warplanes attacked a Hezbollah military building in the Mays al-Jabal region, where Hezbollah agents were stationed.”
He went on to announce that “some 15 rocket shells were fired at an Israeli position near Manara, landing in open areas but causing no casualties.”
