Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah announced that Lebanon and the southern front would be the subject of a later speech during the month of Ramadan.

Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah declared on Wednesday evening that “this year, Ramadan will be marked by Gaza, its people and the support fronts in Lebanon, Yemen and Iraq. These support fronts must be present in force during this blessed month and at any given point in time.”

In a live televised speech at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, the leader of the pro-Iranian formation claimed that “even experts in Israel acknowledge the losses inflicted by the Axis of Resistance. After six months of fighting, the Hebrew state has failed to win a single victory or achieve a single objective. In the face of massacre, destruction and martyrdom, the people of Gaza continue to resist with strength and courage,” adding, “Even if Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decides to enter Rafah, he has lost the war in Gaza.”

“Massacres, genocides and brutal mass killings need to stop,” Nasrallah said about confrontations taking place on all open fronts of the war. “No one on this planet believes that US President Joe Biden cannot put a stop to hostilities and impose a ceasefire in Gaza. All he must do is avoid casting vetoes during the Security Council’s voting sessions,” the Shiite movement’s chief indicated. “Hamas is negotiating from a position of strength for a ceasefire. Those who say that the ball is in Hamas’s court regarding the negotiations are lying. The United States is changing the narrative to exonerate Benjamin Netanyahu from the failure of the ceasefire talks,” he added.

Furthermore, Nasrallah went on to explain that the Israeli army’s forces and resources are dwindling by the day. “The soldiers are exhausted and can no longer keep up with the intensity of the confrontations and the numerous fronts. Indeed, on Israel’s northern front, there is a great deal of secrecy about losses among soldiers and in military vehicles. The Israeli army is also short on manpower and wants to recruit 14,500 officers and soldiers, even if it means recruiting from the ranks of ultra-Orthodox Jews,” he added. “This war is existential for Israel as it is a matter of life or death to ensure its perennity.”

Hassan Nasrallah also briefly spoke of the Lebanese southern front, stressing that it is playing its part in weakening Israel. “The Hebrew state’s agitation has increased due to the escalation of resistance operations in Lebanon.”
