In a statement released on Saturday, Hezbollah condemned the recent United States airstrikes on Iraq and Syria, denouncing the attacks as “a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the two countries, an assault on their security and territorial integrity, and a flagrant violation of all international and humanitarian laws.”

The group believes that such aggressive maneuvers contribute to destabilizing the region, stressing that they serve as justification for “the continuation of the American occupation of several areas in Iraq and Syria against the will of their people who aspire to freedom and independence.”

Highlighting what it perceives as a contradiction in US policy, Hezbollah argued, “The US aggression against Iraq, Syria and Yemen reveals the falsity of the US claims that it does not want to expand the conflict in the region. On the contrary, it contributes to fueling conflict and tension and escalating wars in the region.”
