After a relatively calm morning, tensions increased again on Sunday afternoon between Hezbollah and Israel along the southern border, then again in the evening. Three people were killed in an Israeli raid in Marwahin.

Israeli artillery targeted the outskirts of the villages of Marwahin, Ramya, MarounĀ al-Ras, Yaroun, Shihine, Jabaline, Naqoura, Labbouneh, Alam and Tayr Harfa, as well as Hula and Markaba, where phosphorus shells fell between houses. Residents suffering from suffocation were taken to hospital.

The Israeli army simultaneously combed the town of Kfar Kila with machine guns and carried out raids on the outskirts of Zebqine. The Israeli air force also bombed a house in Hula without causing any casualties, as well as agricultural land. Other houses in the center of Dhayra al-Fawqa were shelled.

Hezbollah issued a statement declaring that its fighters targeted Israeli soldiers deployed in the Ramim base and its surroundings with missile weapons, resulting in direct injuries.

Earlier, the party had announced targeting Israeli soldiers east of the Birkat Risha site and achieving direct injuries.

Simultaneously, the Israeli army spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, announced that “fighter jets attacked two military sites belonging to Hezbollah in the vicinity of the villages of Zebqine and Hula in southern Lebanon.”Ā

Sirens sounded at the UNIFIL headquarters in Naqoura.

Late in the afternoon, the Israeli army shelled the square of the town of Hula and the town of Markaba with artillery and phosphorous shells. Israeli artillery also targeted the area of Tall al-Nahhas, north of the town of Kfar Kila, in addition to the towns of Shehim and Yaroun.
