On Friday, October 13, Lebanese journalist Issam Abdallah was killed by an Israeli strike in southern Lebanon. Six of his colleagues were injured, even though they were all wearing press equipment and operating in a calm area. This tragedy raises numerous questions about the working conditions of journalists in conflict zones, who are often victims of violations of international humanitarian law.
