The drilling rig Transocean Barents, currently sailing in Norwegian waters, is heading toward Block 9 in the territorial waters of Lebanon.

The journey is expected to take approximately one month, with a brief stop at the Strait of Gibraltar to change the crew before continuing its trajectory toward Lebanon.

According to information provided by MTV Lebanon, the rig is expected to reach the Lebanese coast on August 15th and begin its drilling and excavation operations in Block 9 during the last week of August.

The rig will be positioned around 6 kilometers north of Line 23, opposite the Israeli Karish field, and approximately 70 kilometers away from Tyre.
