Israel announced that its army launched 120 new airstrikes targeting Hezbollah military positions across Lebanon by Sunday night.

The strikes have caused widespread destruction and casualties. The Public Health Emergency Operations Center reported 32 deaths and 53 injuries in Ain al-Delb, with rescue efforts still underway.

Additionally, Israeli bombings have hit southern Lebanon, including the Bekaa Valley and the southern suburbs of Beirut.

In Baalbek, Jib Janine, and Marjhine, numerous homes were destroyed, with at least ten fatalities reported in Marjhine alone.

In the Bekaa region, 47 people have been killed and 63 injured, according to George Kettaneh, Secretary-General of the Lebanese Red Cross. The organization remains fully mobilized despite challenges in accessing affected areas.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the military campaign aims to “eliminate Hezbollah’s leadership and reshape the strategic landscape in the Middle East.” He confirmed that the strikes would continue until Israel’s objectives are achieved.

Hezbollah’s media department denied Israeli claims regarding the deaths of senior commanders, including an alleged assassination attempt on Abu Ali Reda, commander of the Badr Unit.

In response, Hezbollah launched rocket attacks on Israeli military positions, specifically targeting the localities of Manara and Kiryat Shmona, as well as the city of Safad.

The group also mourned the loss of 17 individuals from the Israeli airstrike on Zeboud, including several family members.

Meanwhile, international efforts to de-escalate the conflict continue. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken discussed ceasefire possibilities with his French counterpart, focusing on the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and the return of hostages from Gaza.
