The exchange of cross-border fire continued on the southern front late Thursday, with an Israeli drone targeting a house in Blida. According to preliminary information, the strike resulted in two casualties.
The Hezbollah-affiliated Islamic Message Scouts civil defense teams and ambulances rushed to the targeted area to extinguish the fire and search for potential victims.
Israeli warplanes also carried out several raids in the areas of Labbouneh and Jabal Blat and between Ramya and Bayt Lif. The outskirts of Tayr Harfa and west of Kfarchouba and Hebbariyeh were also targeted. Israeli forces then launched a spy balloon over border villages adjacent to the Blue Line.
Hezbollah announced on Thursday evening that it targeted the settlements of Elon and Goren with Falaq missiles in response to the death on Wednesday of two civilians (a man and his wife) in Kafra.
The party also claimed the targeting of technical and espionage equipment at the Ruwaisat al-Alam site in the Shebaa Farms. Later, it was reported that a series of rockets had been fired from southern Lebanon towards the Golan Heights.
Hezbollah also announced the death of one of its fighters, Mahmoud Ali Hammoud, known as “Abu Hadi,” from Kafra.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared, “We will strike Hezbollah and eliminate its leaders in southern Lebanon.” It was an indirect response to Hezbollah, which indicated on Thursday evening, according to Reuters, that it is “ready for a ceasefire in Lebanon when the Israeli attack on Gaza ceases.”
